Grocery stores are familiar with the slip and fall rules and, as a result, they have procedures in place in order to protect their customers from injury and also to protect themselves from possible liability.

Since shoppers are usually not looking for hazards, most people believe they are entitled to recover every time they fall in a public commercial location since it is not their fault. The reality is that this is not always true.
