Dog Bite Tetanus

If you have been attacked by a dog, you will likely feel traumatized. Worse than that, you may be seriously injured. There are things you can do at the time of the accident to help your lawyer and yourself with your case going forward.

Tetanus is a condition that affects the nervous system and causes painful, uncontrolled muscle spasms. Because of widespread immunization, tetanus is now rare. Another name for tetanus is lockjaw.

Tetanus spores can enter the body through a wound that is contaminated with soil, dust, or animal waste. Spores can get into the body through even a tiny pinprick or scratch, but they usually enter through deep puncture wounds or cuts, like those made by nails or knives. Tetanus spores can also get into the body when skin is damaged by burns or by injecting contaminated street drugs. Once the spores enter a wound, they produce a powerful nerve poison that spreads through the body and causes painful symptoms. (Directors of Health Promotion and Education)

If you or your child has been bitten by a dog, you could have grounds for a compensation and a dog bite claim. Contact San Diego Dog Bite Injury Attorney Allan Field for specialist representation.

Airplane Accidents

Airplane Accidents always make the news. Most Airplane Accidents are catastrophic events with total destruction of the aircraft and huge loss of life. What are the victims rights after such an incident? Do you contractually sign your rights away and exonerate the carrier when you buy the ticket? Will your own insurance cover you? Does the airline carrier provide insurance? How much is it and what does it cover?

The disaster investigation is extensive and conducted by several aviation bodies, international institutions, and foreign governments. Often information is not communicated and we may feel that information is withheld.

Big Rig

We all see the big rigs and 18 wheelers on our roads delivering merchandize every day. Allthough most drivers are skilled and trucks well maintained, accidents do happen. Since commercial trucks are so massive in size, when they are involved in accidents, people are often seriously injured or even killed.

In order to recover for your injuries in a trucking accident, you must be able to prove that the driver or trucking company was negligent or reckless in the accident. Determining liability can be complicated and it may not immediately be evident who was at fault and why.

If you have been injured in a trucking accident, San Diego personal injury lawyer Allan S. Field has the experience and expertise required to make sure your legal rights are protected. Contact Allan S. Field to discuss your potential case issues and options.

Car Crash Death

El Cajon, Calif. - A 66-year-old patron at a El Cajon fast-food restaurant was killed today when a car crashed into it, but the 74-year-old driver was not seriously injured, an El Cajon police lieutenant said.

The crash happened just before 8:45 a.m. at the Carl's Junior outlet at 520 N. Second St., Lt. Jeff Davis said.

The victim, described as a regular customer, was sitting in a booth when a car driven by a 74-year-old El Cajon resident smashed into the restaurant, Davis said.

The man, whose name was not released, died at the scene, Davis said.

He said the driver, who witnesses said had just been at a nearby ATM, was hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Alcohol or drugs did not appear to be a factor, he said.

Wrongful Death

In the course of human nature, there is nothing more profound or tragic then the end of a life of one we have loved, or a good friend.

Perhaps more tragic and unfortunate is the unexpected loss of a person close to us, due to a catastrophic injury sustained in an accident or event, or due to the negligent/wreck less or intentional/wrongful conduct of another person or company.

Our offices have settled many of these wrongful death claims for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The Law Offices of Allan S. Field has handled many such cases and claims over the years and received a number of settlements for the surviving family members, spouses and children who have suffered such a loss.
